Scientists at Harvard University have just discovered a new compound that may prevent noise induced hearing loss if taken prior to damaging events. It is still a long ways off, so it is best to protect your ears the old fashioned way: listen at safe volume levels and when going to a concert or loud event, make sure you use hearing protection.
