The Polaris is a beast of coherence and tonal fineness. They are exceptionally well integrated for a hybrid and will be sure to put a smile on your face whether driven from a $1000 DAP or streaming Spotify from a smartphone.
The Mini 2 may not be the most vibrant earphone but there are plenty of models that already satisfy that craving. Rather, the Mini 2 occupies a vacancy around this price, offering some real neutrality with a taste of additional musicality.
The A8 is an excellent earphone at a competitive price point. While their polite treble won’t be for everyone, their brass build never fails to impress nor does their subterranean bass response and cavernous soundstage.
You would be excused for not knowing about OVC, but their new $50 active noise cancelling in-ear might be worth a look if not a listen.
The BR5 MKII offers the same sense of value provided by more budget orientated Chi-fI earphones, even at their arguably premium $300 asking price.
