Although it has a few flaws, the iFi Pro iDSD is a magical vortex of awesome sound and sweet features. It produces the kind of audio that haunts your dreams, causing you to wake up in the middle of the night, quivering and needful. It’s a cool, well-built, and charming device, and I love its implementation of vacuum tubes. If you plan to connect the iDSD to a secondary amp, or if you’re just not as pedantic as I am about XLR, this thing is a triumphant success.
