Following the newly released SE180, Astell & Kern has further expanded their A&ultima series with the all-new AP2000t. This model builds upon the SP2000, features a Quad-DAC setup, Teraton Alpha and a stunning triple Amp system that enables the listener to switch between solid-state, dual KORG Nutube tube and hybrid tube + OP Amp output paths.
The tube section has a silicone cover and magnetic levitating circuit board to minimise mechanical vibrations, ensuring a clean sound. In addition, the circuit shielding has undergone an additional layer of hyper-pure silver-plating to optimise isolation from EMI.
Based upon ESS’ new TOTL ES9068AS chipset, featuring two per channel, the SP2000T is looking to be a highly flexible and impressive performer for diehard audio enthusiasts whilst retaining beloved convenience features of their past designs.
The SP2000T just launched in Australia for $3599 AUD/$4199 NZD. You can read all about it and treat yourself to a unit when they ship later in October on Busisoft AV.
