Final Audio celebrates 50 years at the forefront of Japanese Hi-Fi with the launch of all-new flagship headphones. Extending upon the stunning D8000 and D7000 launched earlier this year, comes the new D8000 DC and D8000 DC Pro – standing for Da Capo or “from the beginning”.
Indeed, the new models share many similarities with the original such as AFDS, air film damping system that provided excellent bass extension and texture. The DC models take this to the next level, with a full redesign of each filter element.
New earpads dubbed “washi paper” promise enhanced breathability alongside enhanced depth and spatial clarity. The drivers have also recieved adjustments in the form of an ultra-lightweight diaphragm made from etched aluminium foil. They are over 30% lighter than those found on the original model, improving responsiveness and detail retrieval.
As before, the headphones are made in Japan at Final Audio’s own Kawasaki head quarters. As before, the standard and Pro models suit music enthusiasts and audio professionals accordingly. The Pro model in particualr, was designed ot deliver more bass output as volume increases in accordance with the characteristics of human hearing.
