Hiby, initially known for their software, has made a name for themselves with their smart, flexible DAPs. They’ve recently made a new addition after a relatively long social media lead-up, meet the all-new RS6! The RS6 is based on their self-developed Darwin Architecture using the classic R2R ladder array DAC. This permits Linear FIR filter, Non-linear harmonics control, switchable oversampling/NOS bypass on a portable device. The RS6 is smart too, much like the company’s former releases, running on Android 9.0 with full 16x MQA decoding support.
It has system-wide bit-perfect audio using Hiby’s Direct Transport Architecture. On the hardware side, the DAP supports 4 outputs, 4.4mm and 3.5mm with another equivalent pair of line-out ports. Qualcomm’s snapdragon 660 SOC powers the show, offering a fluid UI from its bright, 5″ full HD display. Finally, the new chassis is made from copper which offers superior mechanical properties and isolation.
The Hiby RS6 just launched for $1399 USD. For all the details and to secure one for yourself, see the product page on HiFiGO!
