iBasso is a renowned name in audio now not only for their DAPs but also their successful line of headphones and IEMs too. The company has been hard at work modernising their designs which has lead to their latest release, the DX240.
Building atop the popular DX220, the DX240 brings improvements across the board, adopting ESS’ flagship ES9038PRO DAC chip alongside retaining full support for iBasso’s modular AMP modules (1-8). Do note, it does not support the AMP9 which was developed specifically for the DX300.
iBasso is using the Snapdragon 660 SOC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for a smooth UI experience. This is presented through a full-HD 5″ display and dual-OS with both Android 9.0 and Mango OS support.
The DX240 just launched for $919 USD and the first units will ship in mid-October. You can read all about it and secure a unit for yourself on hiFiGO!
