There are many ways to look at sound including measurements and subjective listening, but it ultimately comes down to human interpretation of sound. Sound biology takes a look at the human component in the audio chain that relates to the final interpretation. We ultimately hear with our brain using our ears as a tool to transfer sound from the environment into a signal we as humans can interpret and experience.
