Accutone provided the Studio S2 free of charge for the purpose of my honest review, for good or ill.
The Studio S2 sells for $339 MSRP

I can’t remember how I heard about them, but I did. And when I did, I headed over to their website to have a gander at all the goodies Accutone offers. Pinky’s deviancy being what it is, I gravitated straight for their most expensive IEM.
After some quick reading, I wrote them up, and soon thereafter the Accutone Studio S2 arrived.
Yes, it’s their most expensive IEM. But it’s not “expensive” per say. Lower mid-tier, as prices are these days. And given my findings, quite the bargain!
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start with the basics.
The S2 is small and light-weight. It fits snugly, with perfect comfort. The shape and size allows for deep insertion, creating excellent seal and the best isolation you can achieve with a dynamic driver.
The cable is thin and super low-profile. It’s soft and supple, but there is significant memory and kinking. This cable will never be straight, not after how Accutone packaged it. Still, it’s pretty good, and far better than some.
A variety of tips are included, Comply Foam among them, but I forsook all for my JVC Spiral Dots, which work marvelously as always.
