T+A Solitaire P Review – Pinnacle of Luxury

Closing Thoughts

The Solitaire P is in every way, shape, and form the epitome of the modern luxury headphone, and in many ways it’s the luxury you’re paying for more than pure performance. That’s not to say it has any weaknesses when it comes to doing what it’s made to do, and this lack of weakness is ultimately also its biggest strength.

Yes, there are headphones which, subjectively, I’d prefer to use with some of my favourite music, especially when it comes to the type of bass I enjoy. Others may enjoy a brighter tuning, or wider staging, or microscopic detail retrieval. But no other headphone I know excels in every metric like the SolP does, and it does so almost effortlessly.

Solitaire P is like a fine, rare wine. Exceedingly expensive compared to more popular cultivars, not as flashy or spritely at first, but a taste that develops and matures over time, smooth and easy, rich and rewarding, and best enjoyed slowly, conservatively, at leisure. It’s both organic and natural, without a hint of artificial flavour in its tuning.

This is not a headphone that blinds you with detail, nor is it analytical to the point of being sterile. By infusing the sound with a hint of warmth, with a driver that delivers both nuance and physicality, T+A has created a technically musical and musically technical hybrid you can enjoy with almost any music genre, and be comfortably impressed and entertained for hours in equal measure. Highly recommended

  1. Thank you for the great review! Would you mind sharing the settings you have used on the HA200 for your review?

      1. Thank you. I’m using the BEZ2 filter, seems more natural to me. What about Loudness level you have settled with?

    1. Varies for me, but SolP can go VERY loud without distorting, which is not great for hearing health! It’s also very clear at low listening levels. I generally listen at moderate volume.
