Accordingly, the D7000 is more efficient and offers a more extended reproduction of bass frequencies. The pinna-aligned diffuser also aims to deliver a consistent sound profile regardless of individual differences in ear anatomy.
The D7000 also sports a housing using a blend of aluminium and magnesium to shave weight. The earpads and headband have been revised to use Washi material similar to traditional Japanese paper which has greater permeability, moisture control and anti-bacterial properties.
