Astell & Kern require little introduction due to their line of highly successful DAPs. However, the company’s DAC/AMP lineup is perhaps lesser known. The HC3 is the latest addition and the most feature-rich yet. It is a successor to the highly popular PEE51 DUAL DAC dongle adopting a new chipset in the form of dual ES9219MQ DACs. Further enhancing the package is mic support making the dongle even more versatile than before. As with its predecessor, the HC3 sports a handsome alloy shell, dual noise-shielded cable braided cable design and plug & play functionality for ease of use.
