SMSL has been on a roll and has just released a new flagship desktop DAC, the SU-X. It brings a lot to the table with XMOS’ XU-316 USB controller, a Qualcomm BT 5.1 chip and not to mention two of ESS’ flagship ES9039MSPRO DAC chips. This permits built-in MQA decoding alongside cutting-edge connectivity. The CK-03 clock processing circuit is a new addition that significantly reduces jitter while two groups of linear power supplies for both digital and analogue circuits minimise noise whilst maximising performance. This is all topped off with a full-colour IPS display that provides ease of usability.
